Sandisons Cafe Bar sits comfortably in the heart of Buckie on E Church Street, blending the easygoing feel of a neighbourhood café with the buzz of a local bar. This spot draws in a mix of locals looking for a reliable place to catch up over coffee during the day and those seeking a modest but satisfying meal or a well-poured drink come evening.

The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with a décor that strikes a balance between casual comfort and a little personality—nothing too flashy, but enough to feel welcoming. On sunnier days, the outside seating area at the back provides a peaceful nook to enjoy a drink or snack away from the street buzz, a nice touch for those who appreciate an alfresco moment.

Sandisons’ menu is straightforward and focused on hearty comfort food, suited for anyone after a familiar, fuss-free meal. Options like mac & cheese with skinny fries or tempura battered chicken bites come in at approachable prices and reflect a practical, no-pretense approach to dining. The selection of mocktails adds a fun twist for those who want something refreshing and different without alcohol.

Local chatter suggests this place works well for casual midweek meals, weekend catch-ups, or a laid-back evening drink. It's a spot where the food quality tends to match the pictures on the menu, which isn’t always the case in smaller towns. The staff's friendliness helps this feel like a place where regulars are known by name, making it easy to drop in whether you’re planning a quick coffee or lingering over dinner.

Visitors seeking a straightforward taste of Buckie life will find Sandisons a good choice. It’s especially suited to those who appreciate a local vibe without the frills—families, couples, or solo diners looking for a relaxed pace and a menu that won’t complicate their day.

Only went in for a coffee but great atmosphere and staff are really friendly. Beautiful decor inside with an outside sitting area out the back. Worth a visit

The wife and I have just had another fantastic meal here. I have to say, normally the food served at any place looks nothing like the advertised pictures, but here it absolutely does. Full of colour, full of flavour and fresh ingredients. Definitely our go to place for a meal. The best food in Moray by far.

This is the place to be in Buckie, host lovely managed to find me a seat . Food exceeding expectations, everything else in village was junk food. Steak in stroganoff fantastic, a lot of meat , not just panned with veg. And the locals so friendly, sorry to the girls on the next table who I couldn’t over hear … yes it is the place to be 5* whisky choice great and not overly priced

Dog friendly we were in need of a decent cup of coffee and even though they had a private function due to start in 45 mins we got a delicious coffee and a bowl of water for Riley in the beer garden. Staff were polite and accommodating would recommend especially if you have a dog.

Lovely bar, warm and friendly. I had the shredded chicken with sweet chilli sauce and it was amazing, I devoured it, very tasty. We had quite a few drinks and a jug of cocktail too. I was only £40 for my meal and lots of gin and wine the toilets were a bit messy, a towel was on the floor in one of the cubicles. However the outside space was nice, lit up, heaters and sofas too. Very friendly and welcoming and will definitely be back.
